Hi all, Some time ago I described that when opening some old Pro Tools projects, some tracks (also KK tracks) did not play as expected. I thought it might be because I had removed Kontakt 6 and 7 and trusted that Kontakt 8 would play older tracks. I installed Kontakt 6 and 7 again, but that didn't fix the issue.
After some googling, I found a solution that actually fixed the issue. It turned out to be related to Pro Tools, and what I did was the following: How to reset Pro Tools cache for plugins and start a rescan of plugins: 1. Quit Pro Tools. 2. In Finder, choose Go/Library/Preferences/Avid/Pro Tools. 3. Locate and delete: InstalledAAXPlugIns. 4. Additionally (for Pro Tools 2024+): Clear cache files under: /Users/Shared/Pro Tools/AAXPlugInCache. 5. Re-open Pro Tools, it will force a full rescan of all plug‑ins. After performing the procedure above, and opening the old project that didn't play all tracks, they all played as expected and the issue is fixed. Hope this info can be valuable to someone else as well. :) Best, John André > 9. mars 2026 kl. 01:02 skrev Slau Halatyn <[email protected]>: > > Hi John, > > I'd recommend joining the KK Access Google Groups email list and posting this > there because you'll get a better answer there.
