Thanks for the pointer about the plugin.  I've found that uninstalling
and then reinstalling JDK1.2 also seems to help.

    I had a heck of a time getting my Netscape 4.5 browser to run any 1.2
    applets (I am running Windows NT 4.0 SP3). The problem I had involved
    incorrect registry settings for the current user (profile) in Netscape.
    The solution to the problem is described at the following web site:

    However, I was unable to get the registery settings correct by adding
    another user using the user manager as this document suggests. The only
    way I was able to get this to work was to manually add the registry
    settings to their correct values.
    
    Perhaps this may help others trying to view the 1.2 DIVA applets.
