It sounds like the entire network had one public IP, so someone  
probably did contact the ISP, who shut down the Internet connection.

Likely, the network is still up, but lacking the precious Internet  
access.

The network operators and ISP may have both been slightly ignorant  
about how to respond to these notices when they apply to a heavily  
used wireless network. Namely that making a best effort to address the  
issue should be adequate, and requesting that the MPAA give you more  
information to investigate if they expect you to help them is totally  
reasonable.
