I think it is very possible to do what you want. I would take a good look at
what I believe is chapter 10 in the user's manual and try to get something
out of it because I do remember text regarding backing up from PC card to
disk and from disk to PC card. In fact...
8.12.5: Back up from a card to a CD-R &RW disc.
page 117.

8.12.6: Erase a PC Card.

I know exactly what you mean in regards to being able to access PC cards via
desktop. since the PTr1 could not do this, I had to buy an external PC card
reader which cost some $70. Would have been nice if the PTR1 could have done
this.
