Making a data disk?

I need to know if data files in a folder on a PC card can be burned to a 
CDRW in the PlexTalk.  My laptop's CD drive has stopped working and I need 
a way to backup files to disk before having the laptop serviced.  Just 
wondering if I can put files on the PC card and then put them on a CD from 
there.  If I can find a way to do this without having to buy any adaptors 
for other computers or an external CD drive or hard drive or whatever, it 
would sure help.

By the way, I am told that you cannot access the PC card in the PlexTalk 
via a computer with the PlexTalk hooked up to it.  It could be most helpful 
if Plextor could find a way to make this possible.  Accessing the PC or 
flash card as well as a CD in the PlexTalk could save some work and a lot 
of time, besides being handy for my present dilemma.
