Dale: I have a Victor Pro here and I just tried what I think you're wanting to do - vary the playback speed on MP3 and audio CDs - and it worked fine.
I wonder if Visu-Aide didn't understand your inquiry. If you contacted their head office in Montreal, you might have encountered a language barrier. I have had that experience with them myself. So, to sum up, based on my trial, I believe the Victor machines will do what you want.
