I do not know of any way to select all phrases of a particular level in PRS. That's not to say it's just something I have not learned to do yet.
You can join several phrases at once, but they need to be in a contiguous group. If you hold down the Shift key while arrowing down thru the phrases you want joined, the same as you do to highlight or select a number of files in a list, you can then use the Join command to make them one continuous phrase.
You can also do cut to and paste from the clipboard like you would with files in a list box. I found once that the author of a book was in section 2 with section 1 only holding the title. I split the phrase with the author from the rest of that phrase which was the first part of the book. Then I cut the author phrase from that section and pasted it after the title phrase in the first section. It worked like a charm.
