Hi

I have to say that I too ordered my PTR1 from the RNIB late last year and I
also requested a spare battery, wich I duly received along with my PTR1.

It cost me about £30, I can't remember exactly. The batteries are very easy
to put into the unit and so I think it is worth having the extra given the
limitations of current battery technology.

I have heard that Toshiba hope to bring out their fuel powered battery
solution next year, which will give a far superior battery life and we won't
need to buy extra batteries as this new type will be rechargeable by filling
it like a refillable lighter. I can't wait!

With Respects ... Scott
