The error message you're getting sounds like maybe you are trying to install and/or uninstall without having the PTR1 plugged into your computer's system. I believe the PTR1 has to be physically plugged into the computer in order for the software to recognize and properly install or, I think, uninstall as well.
Nobody has told us that there is any limit on the number of installations of the software. If there was, most of us would probably all have exceeded it by now.
