Hello J,

I think that the ability to jump by one and ten minute increments is
very useful. Let's suppose, somebody records something on the PC. The
stuff is then converted to MP3, and the producer notes the times, where
he wants to set Daisy markers, page markers, headings etc. One can then
import this MP3 file into the PRS, burn a CD, jump to the noted time
stamps and set the Daisy markers.

Being able to go back three, five or ten seconds would be nice. However,
if the phrase markers are set correctly in a Daisy book, nothing can
even come close to phrase navigation. If I do not understand something
in a Daisy title, I just press the back key once or twice and the last
sentence or so is repeated. This does not work, if the phrases are one
or two minutes long as it is with some talking books. For MP3 CDs, the
PTR1 and the PTN1 can already do what you want: If you press the back
key, while listening to an MP3 or an Audio CD the machine jumps back
aproximately three seconds. So, it is very easy to go back ten seconds
on an MP3 or audio CD with the Plextalks. Are the phrases in your titles
too long to use phrase navigation?
