Hi Michael,

I agree THAT all daisy recordings are different, which is why I'm just
suggesting more user options. When one wants to produce their own titles, I
produce my own recorded books, phrases are very unpredictable. I too believe
the 1 and 10 minute time jumps are very useful and will welcome them
greatly. I would just like to have something more constant in a shorter time
than the 1 minute time jump, or something as unpredictable as a random
phrase marker. What I hate about RFBD books is that RFBD is stupidly not
taking advantage of all daisy has to offer. They only allow for level 1
chapter and page navigation. If a reader accidentally presses the back or
forwards keys, they will move an entire page. Believe me, this will drive
you insane when you get use to a book you produced with quick and
predictable navigation then have to use an RFBD book and finding yourself
having to manually forward and rewind just to try to find your place once
again--they are wasting the Daisy navigation features and the reader's time.

I'm not asking for 2 or 5 second time jumps, although letting the reader
adjust time jumps would be a great feature satisfying all readers, I'm just
asking for 10 seconds. In other words, 10, 1 minute and 10 minute time jumps
will provide lots more flexibility for the most projects. For example, in
the words of Window Eyes GW Micro, I feel Freedom Scientific comes up with
lots of "frilly features," and though I agree that lots of the jaws features
are useless, I believe an added benefit of the Fs mentality is to allow for
the most flexibility as possible resulting in many more application
uses--Assuming the frilly features work properly. Again, I'm anticipating
great new features in the new PTR1 update and will suspend final judgment
till then. I'm just making these suggestions because I often pause while I'm
reading and think: "Wouldn't it be neat if the PTR1 could..."
