Having now installed the new firmware and after neglecting my PTR1 for the purpose I originally bought it, I would like to try again to get set up for live recording. I already have a small stereo mic. I remember reading a while ago of a British-made stereo pream (battery powered) that might do the trick, but any advice on currently available models/suppliers would be welcomed.
I also shied away from buying a CF card due to some people having problems with the ones they'd bought, so again would welcome current advice for obtaining 1 or 5GB cards, , especially having read in a previous firmware release that compatibility issues with compact flash cards have been resolved.
