Penny, why can you not go to any websites? The process is very different than any other download and installation but now that I know how it is done, it is very doable. You have to visit the link immediately below and download the upgrade. http://www.plextalk.com/downloads_PTR1firmware.html Then once the update is downloaded to your computer you hit enter on the file you just downloaded, and according to some, you should be ask by Roxio to burn the disk. Of course it was different for me but I worked around the problem. I would offer to send you an image of the disk I used to upgrade the PTR1 but it is essentially the very same thing you will be down loading from the PTR1 website.
Once the disk is created all you have to do is put the disk into the PTR1 and it will play the disk giving you instructions and it will eventually come to a point where it will let you know that it is installing the upgrade. You will hear the waiting sounds and within a couple of minutes all will be installed. Let me know if this makes any sense and if it doesn't I'll give it a shot and try to help you out. It is really kinda easy if you know the steps but since the installation of the upgrade is so different than others, it might seem a bit confusing at first.
