Jay,

The writing is done sequentially to the MP3 file, never is any part
taken off the file on either a CDR or a CDRW.  When you finalise the
disk, the current XML data is written to a free part of the disk - it
would take a lot of writes to fill the disk space up with daisy data.
This is why if you have a disk that is being edited on a lot, it is
better to do it on a card.  Furthermore, it is best to do a complete
erase of disks to clean up old data.  I should add that also removing
titles on CDR/CDRW won't remove the title from the disk, just from the
TOC.
