Hi,

Different mics/combinations of recording volume plus using line in/preamps
are worth playing with. Also it could be you need a mic for recording in a
broad area. Surprisingly I find that the internal mic can sometimes pick up
things that the external mic can't, partly due to the auto gain on this.

Andrew.

Subject: Recording with the PTR1

Hi,
I am joining a chorus. I would like to use the PTR1 to record the
rehearsal but when I used an external microphone, the pickup was very poor
even when I pushed the line in to max.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to improve the recording
pickup?
Do you think a different microphone would help? If so, which one?

   Thanks,
      Tim
