Hi Linda, The scenario you put re the "track" not changing when you stop and restart the recording in DAISY mode is simply because we are not talking about tracks when in DAISY mode, but sections, which are essencially different. When we record DAISY on the PTR1, it is designed so only section headings get marked up when you press the heading button or in automatic mode. You can start/stop the player at will.

If you need to stop the machine to change the record When you put the machine back into record it changes the track. When you are using the daisy format it will not do that when you turn the recorder back on. I don't why.
