After each song you need to press the track button. If you are recording in the music COULD format and you stop the machine to turn over your tape when you put it back on record it will make a new track. But if you are recording in the daisy format you will need to press the track button when you put it back on record. Remember on a music COULD you have 80 minutes So you will want to keep track of your minutes Linda Reeder
