Hi, Yes you are going about the update the wrong way - you need to burn the disk as an image not just burn the iso onto disk.

When I put it in to the machine it tells me thaat it is an improper or damaged disk. My usb cable is in storage so can't update that way. Any suggestions as to how I can get it updated. My husband's is updated. We bought it from someone that had updated it before sending it to us. Hope I can get some help. I'd like to have the new features on my unit also.
