Recently celery 4.2 was packaged for epel7[0] which is creating problems for Pulp users as Pulp only supports celery 4.0. We’ve opened the following issue to deal with this problem[1].
Until this issue is resolved, users should set the priority of their Pulp repository to use Pulp’s celery packages instead of epel’s. More information on priorities: https://wiki.centos.org/PackageManagement/Yum/Priorities We’re still investigating a long term solution. So far we’ve looked at asking epel to downgrade their version[2] but epel understandably won’t do that. Also, we looked at potentially upgrading to 4.2 but can’t due to regressions such as [3].
