Issue #2738 has been updated by Justin Lambert.
I would prefer to do Schedule { range => "17:00 - 23:50" }, but it doesn't seem
to work. If I define it twice I get an error about already having a default
schedule defined. I'm not sure how to figure out if this is my issue or a bug.
Running puppetd -td I see the line "debug: Creating default schedules" twice.
It sounds like this functionality exists, it just isn't working for me. Would
this ticket be best closed and troubleshoot/debug elsewhere?

Feature #2738: Defaults for a resource type

I have a need to not allow puppet changes during the work day unless explicitly
blessed. Currently I get around this by adding a schedule to each resource
telling it not to run during the day which works, but requires everyone to
remember to do it. It would be nice to be able to set a global schedule (and
potentially values for all resource types) that could then be over-ridden at
the per resource level. The hammer approach says just don't have puppet run,
but that removes the ability to make emergency changes without logging into
each machine.
