Issue #2331 has been updated by Nigel Kersten.
So the patch looks fine, but it does raise some issues with old port versions, as this will break those... I'm really not sure what the best way to handle this is. Should we interrogate the port version and do some comparison checks with backward compatible paths? I fully expect us to see this change in the future. When did the name change to MacPorts happen? It wasn't at the same time as this was it? ---------------------------------------- Bug #2331: darwinports "install" broken http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/2331 Author: asa - Status: Needs design decision Priority: High Assigned to: Nigel Kersten Category: OSX Target version: Affected version: 0.25.1 Keywords: darwinports, macports Branch: looks like the darwinport provider is not able to "install" on osx leopard. ports tries "port update" instead of "port install" when first installing a package. Seems that macports Version: 1.710 has this issue. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
