I, ah, don't know wtf happened, really.

I think the confusion is that the actual release is the only time I  
commit directly to 0.24.x, but it appears that I managed (or James  
managed) not to push the latest bits into 0.24.x.  AFAICT, the only  
commit missing is the actual version change, but (and this is  
especially weird) it looks like someone (I assume me) managed to make  
a 0.24.7 tag that didn't have that version change commit in it.

I'm going to do some more looking around, but it should be all cleaned  
up within an hour or so.

(Sorry for the slow response; I didn't want to switch context mid- 
development stream.)
