Great, thanks for the replies.

I'll track the cleanup to 0.24.x and 0.24.7 and make sure the patches apply
cleanly.

The ticket will be updated with a pull request once we're good to go.

In the meantime, I've posted 0.24.7-2 packages online with the submitted
patches in preparation for the presentation tomorrow.
