I haven't thought about this before, but now it seems very feasible way of 
eliminating an redundant step(s).

BTW what did you actually have in mind:
a) creating branch in git repo and node assignment automatically clones git 
repo to new location? or
b) particular environment is git-pulled on every invocation?
c) both?
