Lam-MPI is quite old at this point and doesn't appear to include support
for PVFS2. I think you will need to use MPICH or OpenMPI.

There are 6 nodes and a server. This worked on the server and in 4
nodes, but in 2 nodes insists on
giving the above error.
One of the machines is Pentium 4 3.0 GHz and the other is Core 2 Quad
2.66 GHz. The strange thing is
that on other machines with these same processors worked.
I tried to compile LAM-MPI first than pvfs2, pvfs2 first, etc. I tried
several ways.
Even in builds that worked, I had to install LAM-MPI first than pvfs2
and then recompile the lam-mpi.
I did several internet searches and found nothing.
Is there an easier way to install LAM-MPI + PVFS2 ?
