I was actually just using an old client configuration, but that was the
source of the problem.

In my case it hung there, with no messages, waiting for a reply from the
server.

For what it's worth, this was the current release on RHEL6, using IB,
unprivileged, with server and client on the same system for testing.
I'll try to debug it sometime if someone could provide a hint.
