In case you are still looking for more data points, I got my two 29032 pvrusb2's (Rev D168 and D2A3) out of storage and tried them. They both loaded correctly on a desktop (Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R) with Fedora 11 kernel 2.6.30.10-105.2.16.fc11.x86_64 and Fedora 12 kernel 2.6.31.12-174.2.3.fc12.x86_64. They both also loaded correctly on an Asus G1S laptop with Fedora 12 kernel 2.6.31.12-174.2.3.fc12.x86_64. All used the V4L in-tree pvrusb2 modules that came with the Fedora kernel rpm's. They all were recognized as high speed USB devices. I noticed when I plugged the USB cable into the pvrusb2 and laptop before plugging in the power to the pvrusb2, that it first came up as full speed, but after the reset and reconnect, it was running at high speed and it loaded all of the modules and worked correctly: Feb 8 00:42:06 gus kernel: hub 2-0:1.0: unable to enumerate USB device on port 3 Feb 8 00:42:06 gus kernel: usb 6-1: new full speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 2 Feb 8 00:42:06 gus kernel: usb 6-1: not running at top speed; connect to a high speed hub Feb 8 00:42:06 gus kernel: usb 6-1: New USB device found, idVendor=2040, idProduct=2900 Feb 8 00:42:06 gus kernel: usb 6-1: New USB device strings: Mfr=0, Product=0, SerialNumber=0 Feb 8 00:42:06 gus kernel: usb 6-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice Feb 8 00:42:06 gus kernel: usb 6-1: firmware: requesting v4l-pvrusb2-29xxx-01.fw Feb 8 00:42:06 gus kernel: usbcore: registered new interface driver pvrusb2 Feb 8 00:42:06 gus kernel: pvrusb2: V4L in-tree version:Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-USB2 MPEG2 Encoder/Tuner Feb 8 00:42:06 gus kernel: pvrusb2: Debug mask is 31 (0x1f) Feb 8 00:42:07 gus kernel: pvrusb2: Device microcontroller firmware (re)loaded; it should now reset and reconnect.
