Hmm. Which image? 2.8? 3.0? Can you try an earlier image?

Can you try the test? If you're unfamiliar with doing stuff in a
workspace, I probably could package it up as a self-executing file-ing.
The Celeste test would be useful as well.

But that's just making your link a mailto href in an a tag...i.e., all
client side stuff, not email notification. Completely unrelated system.

Why not? It works on my Win2000 box.
I'm suspecting either a configuration problem or a Mac VM problem. Can
*anyone* send notification on a Mac using this version vm/etc.? I find it
hard to believe that SMTPSocket is just *broken*, since then no mac person
could use Celeste.
It's definitely the case that this is *some* sort of
abberation...notification works on other platforms and has worked on macs
in the past.
We'll track it down yet!
