I just tested CoWeb (http://coweb.cc.gatech.edu), which is a Mac 7600
with a G3 board in it running OS9, Comanche 4.6, VM 2.8 (I believe --
Je77 confirm?), and notification is working fine there.
I also just tested the below code (Bijan's example, with SMTP spelled
correctly, and my settings filled in) on a G4, OS9.1, Image 3.1a, VM
3.0alpha6MT, and in Image 2.7, VM 2.7, and it worked in both.
It's not a Mac issue, and it's not a 3.0/3.1 problem.
