I can understand that, Ward, and I'm sorry that the press release
implies that we invented this stuff. I can assure you that we say
over and over again in our publications (see our CSCW and new Journal
of the Learning Sciences papers at
http://coweb.cc.gatech.edu/csl/Papers) that Swiki is based on Wikis
which you invented. (That's why Je77 asked you recently for a
digital picture of you, so that he could point to you directly in a
talk he was putting together on Swikis.) The note I sent around was
essentially a press release where folks concerned with marketing want
to emphasize Georgia Tech.
In things that matter, we make a serious effort to always give you
credit for inventing Wikis.
