Alex,

Thanks so much.  I had tried glPushMatrix() and glPopMatrix() already but I
didn't realize that I had to put the glPushMatrix() between
glMatrixMode(GL_PROJECTION) and glLoadIdentity().  
Yes - I've got a lot to learn!
