I have seen very simple text editors done with Tkinter (Python native GUI library). But very basic stuff, and I think it dont cover all you need.
In Pyglet I do not know what has been made in that field. I know some people use it as a GUI (have seen somo cool GUI extensios to Pyglet, like buttons, scrollers and GUi stuff), and that it has a lot of potencial (it is great for building power point like apps), but a notpad I have not seen yet. But it would be great, it can be useful for a lot of projects (games, with text based interaction, and apps). If you start working in something like that, please post info in this mailing list, because I would love to follow something like that, I can imagine a lot of cool stuff with that. I think it would not be very hard to do something like that, because pyglet has a lot of potential for GUI sttuff. I have some ideas and needs regarding text editors, because I am not a default programmer, I am an Humanistics student and researcher, that loves informatic and have learned a lot by himself (I have used pyglet to make a sketch prototype of a game that teachs language vocabulary). But very simple stuff. So I can not help very much, I am not a to programmer, just indie simple stuff (but learning and growing). I hope somebody can help you more. Keep updating info if possible about your projet, It would be cool to see this done with Pyglet.
