pulseaudio is a fast moving target unfortunately. I tend to require
openal because it is more reliable.
You can tell pyglet to "prefer" openal with:
import pyglet
pyglet.options['audio'] = ('openal', 'pulse', 'directsound', 'silent',)
Also I've found directsound in windows is also less reliable than
openal. Because distributing openal.dll is so easy, that's what I do in
my projects.
