That sounds fantastic!  If this eventually becomes usable, it will make a 
lot of people happy. A large number of bugs on the issue tracker are AVbin 
related, but noone has stepped up to tackle it so far.  I'm more than happy 
to assist with testing and things on Linux, once you're ready.
