Actually we can't re-issue since it's already published on PyPI (you can't upload the same version number there twice).
But I think everything is fine. It's only a small issue when running the tests with a non-default configuration. This is not something that requires a new release.
And I also still think option 2) mentioned in the last mail was the better one, and should not be reverted. But of course if anybody has good reasons for going with option 1) instead, let me know.
