Hans, Christian, Thanks for your input about replacing the snake icon. It's true that the icon embedded in the python.exe is used as the topleft window icon. Perhaps a solution for me is to create an .exe file using p2exe. See http://starship.python.net/crew/theller/py2exe/ That .exe file, I give an icon, and that icon will be used I think.
