Yeah, I'm aware of gtkglext; I'm just trying to get this release out the door before making any major code changes, since the code already works.

If possible, you should use gtkglext instead.  It runs on
linux/unix/win32 and mac OS X, and superceeds gtk.gl.

If by chance you are using VTK, I have a vtk render window for
pygtkglext, which I also believe is in the VTK CVS.
