Are there any functional differences between the open source version
vs the pre-packaged version? What are the differences?

Also, I see no svn tags marking where the pre-packaged code came from.
Is this intentional or are the two code bases completely different?

How does one go about getting pymol on windows? I have python but no C
compiler. (and I have no money to buy a license, but want to be certain
that the python modules I develop will run on windows)

I'm coming to this after a very long time so please bear with my
somewhat ignorant questions.

TIA,
Indraneel
