Hi Bradford,

HDMI does not support TRUE 1080p @ 120 Hz but does support the 1080p @
24 Hz input so you are able to watch blue-ray stereo movies (the monitor
or television converts the signal to stereo by showing you each picture
at least 2 times, either 2 x 24 Hz x 2 eyes = 96 Hz or 5 x 24 Hz = 120
Hz, 2 x for one eye and 3 x for the other eye if I remember correctly).

DVI-D supports the TRUE nvidia quad buffered stereo with the proper
DVI-D cable (that comes with the VG278H monitor).
Do not buy the VG278HE as that model has a 144 Hz LCD panel for improved
blue-ray stereo (3 x 24 Hz x 2 eyes = 144 Hz).
It has no DVI-D connector if I recall correctly.

Make sure the nvidia quadro graphics card has 2 x DVI-D (DVI dual
channel) connectors as some of them come with HDMI connnectors or (mini)
display ports.

The ASUS VG278H is a perfect replacement for the good old cathode ray
tubes (CRT's). The price is high but remember it includes one pair of
glasses already.
