Everybody- thank you for your kind feedback. I would like now to ask, what sort of app exercise would be goo for a "from the ground up" official tutorial? There are numerous "hello world" examples, but I would like something more to encourage and stimulate the readers...
So an exercise should give (IMHO): - Basic understanding of the event loop, responding to events thereof. - Brief intro to layouts, UI; Use a designer, code, and QML to build the UI. - Read data , process and return to the user. (maybe using persistent storage or it it too advanced?) - Packaging and distribution of the PySide app. I was thinking of something like an expanse tracker application (I think S40 had it and some of the Nokia devices still carry it).
