Sorry Paul, for no response. Regarding this issue, I plan to use the testcases provided in the patch in the stdlib testsuite and fix things there or comment/document it in the code where parsing conflict arises. This will help us keep track too. I ran the test cases in the patch against the current trunk and i see 4 tests failing (like borderline scenarios of parsing).
