You don’t need an implementation to write a PEP, and certainly not to get a sponsor. That being said, a prototype can be helpful to work out the issues. You could go either way, but if it can be stand-alone, that’s easier, especially for others to try it out. -CHB > _______________________________________________ > Python-ideas mailing list -- python-ideas@python.org > To unsubscribe send an email to python-ideas-le...@python.org > https://mail.python.org/mailman3/lists/python-ideas.python.org/ > Message archived at > https://mail.python.org/archives/list/python-ideas@python.org/message/Q6JTO37I42OKOAIJVBD63UL5QO3KEYLI/ > Code of Conduct: http://python.org/psf/codeofconduct/ > -- Christopher Barker, PhD (Chris) Python Language Consulting - Teaching - Scientific Software Development - Desktop GUI and Web Development - wxPython, numpy, scipy, Cython
