People seem to assume we claim this, but nobody in Debian has claimed it as far as I know. I believe that the release team's current position is that if a package cannot be made to work against MariaDB, it cannot be in stretch. IIRC, this came up with some packages a while ago (mysql-connector-c++? mysql-workbench? I forget which) and that was the conclusion. Robie
