I wanted to
eliminate the older version of VBA as a possible source of
the
problem
so I downloaded Visual
Basic 2005 Express Edition and tried the same
VB
code. Unfortunately, I still have the same problem: the Python COM
object
must
return the function return value last
instead of first and it must also
return
an extra initial parameter
which VB seems to be interpreting as the
HRESULT of the COM call
itself.
If I use the
object browser in the VB IDE, the object's methods appear to
have
the correct
signatures. To gain access to the object, I am simply adding
a
reference to
it for the project.
