Hi Kevin,

I’ve came across a few implementations of serious games in Second Life. It’s a
fairly easy platform to get started with and would also require little setting
up from your end. In fact I would suggest contacting some other educational
institutes that have presence in SL and see if they could lend you some space
for students to work in.

If you do however would like to look more deeply into game development at lower
level I would suggest looking into Unity3D which has a free version and is easy
to learn. Altho as I’ve mentioned it would require much better understanding
how computer games work.

Thanks,
Bartosz Ptaszynski
