I've been a fan of TextMate but waiting for the next version release has waned my patience. Recently I was curious about Sublime Text 2 (works not just on Mac but for Linux and Windows. Something shiney that I'm use to on the Mac but also available on other platforms.
Maybe we should do another talk on editors, given that aside from vim and emacs, people's prefs in IDEs has changed since? Back to Sublime Text 2, it's very fast as opposed to using TextMate, it's known to be slow when you have a humungous file to open up. This also mean search is fast as well. I'm a pretty basic IDE user, don't really build or run scripts via IDEs, maybe other people have more input on Sublime Text 2. And yes, you have to pay $59 for a single licence but the licence is per user, not per machine. +1 from me for that alone!
