It works and is becoming better and better, but you must start it on the command line, no Mac app yet. (You need wxPython 2.6.x) see http://spe.stani.be/ (On my G4/400 with OSX 10.4, all GUI scripts are very slow, so using SPE with all of its functions, intellisense etc., is not really fun.)
