Well . . . not for people I know. "OSX" ["OS X"] is more common in my experience, especially among those aware that OS9 was a Mac OS.

And I suspect we *do* care what the trademark is -- this isn't a sanctioned Apple website, but isn't there some value to conforming to the mother ship's ways?
