Yes! I was thinking about suggesting branching 2.0 development into a
Git repository some time next year when the service layer is finished.
I am more than happy to do this earlier and move to Git for 1.10
development.

I have been using the git-svn bridge with Pytrainer for nearly a year
now so I am reasonably familiar with maintaining a local Git
repository. I still have gaps in my knowledge around how to interact
with a remote Git repository but I guess that's probably the easy part
to using Git.

I recommend setting up a personal Git repository on Github to play
around with if you want to learn more about it. They have very good
step-by-step instructions for getting started.
