I inspected the sqlite database and I did not found any entries in the
records table for the runs that do not show up in pytrainer (these are
those where the GPX data is missing in the .dump and .gmn files). So the
only indication of these tracks in pytrainer that I see are these .gmn and
.dump files in the tmp directory.

I therefore deleted these files in the hope that these runs would be
properly imported when I would run the import via garmintools again. After
a new import via garmintools I find again the corresponding .gmn files
under ~/.pytrainer/tmp/2011/11, again of very small size, so probably
without the GPS data. In contract to the situation before, there are no
.dump files corresponding to them and these runs also do not show up in
pytrainer at all.

When doing a manual run of "garmin_save_runs -v" now I get only "big" (i.e.
probably with GPS data) files for the last 8 runs. For the previous ones I
only get the main data about the run and these runs are not imported
properly into pytrainer.

I guess the reason is the following: Some time ago I changed the data
recording setting of my Forerunner 305 from "smart recording" to "every
second", since my impression was that data was not very accurate. So maybe
the GPS data of the old runs was deleted meanwhile.

I would now like to actually delete all data on the watch to start again.
But I found no way to do so. Do you know how it can be done?

Best regards,
